The South Stream’s construction works will begin tomorrow, the 7th December, 2012, in Krasnodarsk (compressor station ‘Ruskaya’) at the south of the Russian Federation.

Construction in Serbia should begin on the 20th December, 2012, when the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, is expected to come and open the works and the law considering the South Stream should be adopted by the end of the year. With respect to Russian side, we are obliged to adopt it as soon as possible. The pipeline project is the largest one for this country in the past six decades with estimated value of €2 billion. 2000 jobs will be available with it as well as €2 million of direct budget income coming from transition taxes.
