On June 12 the 2013 edition of the BP Statistical Review will be released. The mission of the Statistical Review has always been the same: to provide objective, high-quality, and globally-consistent data on world energy markets.
Every year, it is the first publication to comprehensively review developments in the world of energy, country-by-country and fuel-by-fuel. And so it is widely cited as a source for objective energy data in academic work, the media, government and industry.
The Review provides data on energy consumption, production and trade, as well as proved reserves and prices. We also provide data on carbon dioxide emissions from energy use. This data is available to everyone. A their homepage, you can freely download data in a spreadsheet and build customized charts – and tell your own energy story.
The Stats Review was first published in 1952 as a 7 page review of global oil markets. Since then, it evolves in response to changes in the world’s energy mix as well as the increasingly global markets that distribute that energy, and now covers natural gas, coal, nuclear energy and renewable fuels.
