Japan: Promises for abandoning nuclear energy

Today, almost two years after the accident at Fukushima, the party of Prime Minister of Japan Yoshihiko Noda promised to exit

nuclear energy within 30 years, according to his program for the parliamentary elections on December 16. 

“Since the nuclear accident (Fukushima), we believe that the Japanese people want a society that does not depend on nuclear power plants,” explained to reporters Noda presenting the program of the party.
