16 Sept: International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer

Every year on September 16 is celebrated the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer , in remembrance of September 16, 1987 , when representatives of 24 countries signed the Montreal Protocol (resolution 49/114), pledging to reduce those chemicals that destroy ozone layer.
